In time, the Detroit Tigers’ organizational focus will return to the major leagues.
Perhaps late this season, when the organization’s top prospects could debut in Detroit, signaling the beginning of the end of a painful rebuilding process.
Or maybe after the season, when the Tigers could open their wallets for big-name free agents. Or, after that, in 2021's spring training. In theory, that time will come.
But for now, the focus is on the minors, where prospects such as Matt Manning, Casey Mize, Isaac Paredes and Kody Clemens are still learning the game.
Just a couple months ago, the crew tasked with teaching those prospects seemed set.
