Detroit Tigers right-hander Matt Manning enjoyed watching Thursday, as future Hall of Famer Miguel Cabrera slapped a walk-off single for a 4-3 win over the Cleveland Guardians at Comerica Park.
But Manning will soon travel to Lakeland, Florida, home of the Tigers' spring training facility, for what could be another round of rehabilitation. He wishes he could contribute to the team, but that won't happen for a while because of an injury he kept secret.
The No. 9 overall draft pick in 2016 has biceps tendinitis and is shut down for the foreseeable future.
