Major League Baseball reached a deal in principle on a new collective bargaining agreement, according to various reports. It not only avoids a work stoppage to the offseason market, but for many teams, it will start up the offseason market in earnest. The biggest impact for the Tigers is the luxury tax. The threshold for this past season was $189 million.
