Detroit – Alex Avila has seen it before.
“Yeah, it didn’t surprise me that Miggy hit a home run his first game back,” Avila said after the Tigers extended their winning streak to three with a 5-2 win over the Indians on a windy, chilly Tuesday night at Comerica Park.
Miguel Cabrera, who missed nine game with a right groin strain, hit a two-run home run off Indians ace Corey Kluber in his second at-bat, keying a three-run second inning that provided the winning margin.
But by the seventh inning, the groin had tightened back up and Cabrera was removed from the game.
