Watch Ronny Rodriguez’s awesome over-the-shoulder catch vs. White Sox

Sunday wasn’t a great day for the Detroit Tigers — on the field, at least. They were blown out by the Chicago White Sox, 7-2, their third consecutive loss to the lowly Sox.

Ronny Rodriguez had himself a day, though. The 26-year-old infielder, starting at shortstop in place of Jose Iglesias, made an awesome over-the-shoulder catch in the top of the fourth to end the inning.

He also hit a solo home run late in the game, his second of the weekend (and his MLB career).

Rodriguez won’t make anyone forget the day’s real honoree, Hall of Famer Alan Trammell, but he made the most of a spot start in an otherwise forgettable game.
