While the Tigers’ game against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday did not go so well, reliever Reed Garrett held up his end of the bargain. Garrett, the Tigers’ Rule 5 draft pick in December 2018, made his MLB debut and worked a scoreless inning against the Blue Jays.
Garrett even notched his first career strikeout, sending Kevin Pillar back to the dugout after he whiffed on this nasty breaking ball.
While Garrett isn’t a highly rated prospect, he certainly has the raw stuff to succeed in an MLB bullpen.
