With the Detroit Tigers out of action, the Free Press is getting its baseball fix by simulating the Tigers’ 2020 season on "MLB The Show 20" on Playstation 4. Follow along for the next game, at 1:10 p.m. Saturday against the Los Angeles Angels, at twitch.tv/freepsports.
It's the hurdle the Virtual Tigers can't quite clear: the .500 mark.
Returning home, they fell again, this time in a shutout — the team's first of the Virtual 2020 season — losing to the Angels, 2-0, Friday at Comerica Park.
Though Daniel Norris pitched a quality start, allowing two runs on six hits in six innings, the Tigers could muster only three hits against Angels right-hander Julio Teheran and the back end of their bullpen.
