DETROIT -- Victor Martinez was hospitalized after leaving Thursday night's game with an illness, Detroit Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said on MLB Network Radio Friday.
Ausmus is expected to comment further on Martinez's status later Friday.
The ailment wasn't thought to be serious after the game, and Martinez was seen in the Tigers clubhouse. Ausmus said Martinez experienced sweating, chills and an elevated heart rate.
