V-Mart dealing with sore left quad

ARLINGTON -- The sight of Victor Martinez limping off the field has been a familiar one this season because of his knee issues. This time, however, it was a quadriceps injury that forced him out of Monday's 7-4 win at Texas after he had to hobble his way around the bases.

Martinez was diagnosed with a sore left quad and is scheduled to be re-examined on Tuesday, giving manager Brad Ausmus a better idea how much he'll be able to play in the season's final week. He won't be shut down if he's able to play, Ausmus said, but he'll probably be limited to two or three more games.
