Tyson Ross wasn’t alone in Saturday’s 15-3 loss to the lowly Kansas City Royals. All the Detroit Tigers suffered through it.
Ross, pitching his first game since April 24 in Boston after going on paternity leave for the birth of his first child, was rocked by the Royals at Comerica Park, allowing five earned runs on seven hits and two walks in 1u215b innings.
The Tigers used six pitchers as the Royals built a 7-0 lead, before Jeimer Candelario’s two-run homer in the third put the Tigers (14-16) on the board. Kansas City (12-22) finished with 19 hits.
