Ryan Carpenter managed seven innings on Sunday afternoon, but they weren’t particularly good ones. Carpenter kept his team in the game, and was efficient, but solo runs in the sixth and seventh innings undid an otherwise solid outing. Victor Alcantara allowed a pair of runs in the eighth to put this one out of reach. Chad Huffman launch a two-run shot, while Christen Stewart doubled and walked twice to pace the offense.
