The first day of the 2019 MLB draft is in the books! It took roughly 12 hours to get through the first 77 picks on the board, thanks to MLB Network’s sluggish coverage, but here we are. The Detroit Tigers have made just two selections thus far, grabbing outfielder Riley Greene with the No. 5 overall pick and Arizona third baseman Nick Quintana with the 47th pick (the sixth of the second round).
We will have more scouting and analysis of both players on the site a bit later, but figured it was time to get Tuesday’s open thread underway as soon as possible.
