Toughest part of Hall of Fame induction? Writing (and giving) the speech

They've spent their careers playing in front of tens of thousands of people, their slightest flaws analyzed and critiqued.

Yet for the six players being inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y., this weekend, the short speech they will give during Sunday's ceremony is a source of anxiety.

"I don't think any of us will be relieved until it's next Sunday afternoon when we're done," said Tigers great Alan Trammell.

Trammell and fellow Tiger Jack Morris were selected by the Modern Era Committee in December after spending 15 years on the Baseball Writers Association of America ballot.
