DETROIT -- Tigers top prospect Michael Fulmer is among the options to fill in for Shane Greene if Greene can't make his next scheduled start Friday night at Minnesota due to a blister, manager Brad Ausmus said Monday.
"There's a number of starters that we could choose from, whether it be Fulmer, [Buck] Farmer, [Matt] Boyd," Ausmus said. "We're just kind of keeping all of our options open."
First, the Tigers have to determine whether Greene can pitch. The blister busted open on his right middle finger during Sunday's start against the Indians, and adhesive proved ineffective at holding it together.
