DETROIT -- John Hicks will start at catcher in Game 1 of the Detroit Tigers' doubleheader against the New York Yankees on Monday.
Whether he starts Game 2 depends on how James McCann feels between games.
McCann left Sunday's game with an intercostal spasm.
The Yankees' Luis Severino (8-1, 2.31 ERA) will start Game 1 against Mike Fiers (4-3, 4.45).
