At this point, I don’t know what’s more surprising: that the Tigers don’t have the worst record in the league or that they are on the verge of being swept by the team that has a worse one.
This losing streak has officially reached out-of-control territory, as Detroit has now lost eight straight games — all at home.
While the series with the Marlins has been much closer than the drubbings received from Houston and Oakland, it’s still disheartening for the team and fans alike to drop two of the first three games in a series at home to a squad that they, technically speaking, should not be losing to.
