The Detroit Tigers on Sunday placed designated hitter Victor Martinez on the 10-day disabled list with an irregular heartbeat.
This is the second time this year Martinez, 38, has gone on the DL for this condition.
The Tigers recalled outfielder JaCoby Jones from Triple-A Toledo to take Martinez’s spot on the roster.
Martinez is hitting .255 with 10 home runs and 47 RBI this season.
