Detroit — If only they were all this easy.
The Tigers seldom have coasted in a game during their bumpy 2018 season, but they pretty much frolicked Thursday at Comerica Park, where they hammered the White Sox, 7-2.
Nick Castellanos (406 feet), Mikie Mahtook (387 feet), and Ronny Rodriguez (357 feet) all slammed sixth-inning home runs against White Sox starter James Shields, as the Tigers romped. Rodriguez's homer was a high fly that dropped beyond the left-field fence for his first big-league homer.
Matthew Boyd appreciated the help on a day when he did his part: six innings, no runs, six hits, six strikeouts, and a walk.
