DETROIT -- John Hicks will start at first base on Wednesday night in the Detroit Tigers' first game since learning that Miguel Cabrera would be finished for the season.
Hicks will get the bulk of the at-bats at first base.
Grayson Greiner, who will take over for Hicks as the team's primary backup catcher, is starting Wednesday.
Reserves Niko Goodrum and Victor Reyes are also in the lineup.
On the mound, Tigers lefty Matthew Boyd (4-4, 3.20 ERA) will face Twins right-hander Jose Berrios (7-5, 3.66 ERA).
