Tigers send 2 pitchers to disabled list, bring up veteran infielder

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Detroit Tigers placed pitchers Jordan Zimmermann and Alex Wilson on the 10-day disabled list after Monday night's loss to the Texas Rangers.

Two new Tigers will arrive tomorrow: right-handed reliever Zac Reininger and veteran infielder Pete Kozma.

Wilson suffered a left plantar fascia strain while running to cover first base in the sixth inning. After he limped off the field with the team's athletic trainer, his trip to the DL was expected.

But Zimmermannn's injury came as more of a surprise, as he's been brilliant in his last two starts, allowing just four hits over 12 shutout innings.
