DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers scored three runs in the first inning but put up goose eggs in the next eight, falling to the Chicago White Sox 6-3 on Tuesday night at Comerica Park.
The Tigers (50-70) and White Sox (43-76) meet for the rubber match of the series on Wednesday afternoon.
White Sox outfielder Ryan LaMarre, who was born in Royal Oak, went to high school in Jackson and played college ball at the University of Michigan, hit his first Major League home run in the second inning, a solo shot that put the Sox ahead 4-3.
