DETROIT - The Detroit Tigers are shaking up their lineup for the second straight game.
Outfielder Mikie Mahtook will bat second Tuesday against Kansas City Royals left-hander Matt Strahm.
Justin Upton will hit in the No. 3 spot for the second straight game, while Miguel Cabrera will hit clean-up.
"Mikie has definitely given us better at-bats," Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said. "He has played well in center. He may get a few more looks against right-handed pitchers."
When asked why keep Upton at No. 3, Ausmus replied, "Why not? The guy has been getting on base.
