DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire lamented the "unfortunate" incident that has put a cloud over the future of Tigers television broadcasters Mario Impemba and Rod Allen.
FOX Sports Detroit announced Friday that Impemba and Allen would not be scheduled to call any of the final 22 games of the regular season in the wake of a physical altercation between the two men Tuesday night in Chicago.
Gardenhire said he had a good relationship with both Impemba and Allen.
"You get to know people. I like both of those guys. It's unfortunate. We all know that in a working environment, sometimes these things happen," Gardenhire said.
