Tigers receive 2nd player from A's in Mike Fiers trade

DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers have received right-handed pitcher Logan Shore from the Oakland Athletics to complete last month's Mike Fiers trade.

Shore, 23, was the second player to be named later in the deal. The first was right-handed pitcher Nolan Blackwood.

Shore is the A's 14th-best prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. He was drafted in the second round out of the University of Florida in 2016.

He posted a 4.65 ERA in 91 innings split between Class A (advanced) Stockton and Class AA Midland in 2018, striking out 74 and walking 21.
