Drew VerHagen tossed six scoreless innings and struck out six in a dominant performance against Rochester on Friday. VerHagen allowed just five hits and a walk, but still had to dance out of trouble a couple of times, including a two-on, no-out situation in the second. Toledo pushed a run across in the bottom of the sixth, when a bloop single off the bat of Victor Reyes scored Willi Castro to break the scoreless tie. John Schreiber locked down the ninth inning for his first save at the Triple-A level. Castro had himself a day with a double and a triple.
