The Mud Hens took an early 2-0 lead on hits from minor league veterans Jim Adduci and Chad Huffman, but Louisville eventually took a 3-2 lead with runs off Chad Bell and Phillippe Aumont later in the game. Adduci drove in a second run in the top of the ninth to tie the game at 3, but reliever Mark Montgomery coughed up the game-winning run in the bottom of the inning. Mike Gerber and Dawel Lugo both had two hits, including a double apiece. Ronny Rodriguez also reached base twice.
