Tigers prospect Matt Hall and the Mud Hens win big in Lehigh Valley

Matt Hall and the Hens bullpen were excellent in this one, and the offense delivered a beatdown. Hall spun six innings of scoreless ball in only 79 pitches with seven strikeouts and no walks. Bryan Garcia dominated for two innings, and Caleb Thielbar closed out the ninth. Together they allowed eight hits, no walks, and struck out 12 IronPigs. The Mud Hens got all the offense needed in the fourth inning when Pete Kozma and Dawel Lugo each came up with two-run knocks. They also took advantage of three wild pitches by Pigs’ reliever Tom Windle in the sixth, scoring three more times, and then blew them away with six more in the eighth.
