Tigers prospect Isaac Paredes shines in Lakeland loss

Some shoddy defending from the Sox gave the Mud Hens an early 3-0 lead in the first inning, and Pawtucket’s offense couldn’t keep pace. Mud Hens starter A.J. Ladwig held the Red Sox to just one hit and two walks in 6 23 innings to improve to 2-0 on the season. Strong work from Johnny Barbato and Mark Montgomery out of the bullpen preserved the shutout. The Hens only had six hits on the game; Jim Adduci and Pete Kozma had the only extra-base hits, both doubles.
