The Hens needed this one and they got it done. Ryan Carpenter allowed an early run, but was able to lock it down from there to five innings with five strikeouts. His offense took the lead with a two-run fourth and another run in the sixth, but Paul Voelker gave it back in the bottom half of that frame, allowing a pair of runs. In the seventh inning, Jarrod Saltalamacchia led off with a single, and rode home on a Jacob Robson double that was the eventual game winner. Once again, Zac Reininger and Zac Houston were able to lock down the final three innings without a single strikeout between them.
