After both Matthew Boyd and Alex Lange left Monday’s game against the Kansas City Royals early due to injury, the Detroit Tigers placed both pitchers on the 10-day injured list. The moves were part of the longest list of transactions we’ve seen from the Tigers in a while, as the club looks to simply field a healthy pitching staff for the remainder of their series in Kansas City.
Replacing Boyd and Lange on the active roster are lefthander Miguel del Pozo and righthander Wily Peralta, both up from Triple-A Toledo. Additionally, Jeimer Candelario is returning from a short stint on the COVID-19 injured list, which he moved to after being placed on the bereavement list last week.
