The Detroit Tigers placed catcher Grayson Greiner on the 10-day injured list with a low back strain following their embarrassing 13-4 loss to the Cleveland Indians on Friday evening. Greiner did not play on Friday, but caught all nine innings of Detroit’s loss to the Kansas City Royals in Omaha, Neb. on Thursday.
Replacing Greiner on the 25-man roster will be catcher Bobby Wilson, whose contract was purchased from Triple-A Toledo. To make room for Wilson on the 40-man roster, righthander Tyson Ross was moved to the 60-day disabled list.
