The Tigers are banking on improvement from each of their trio of young starting pitchers next season. Pitching coach Rich Dubee spoke to the Detroit Free Press during the team’s recent TigerFest at Comerica Park about what Michael Fulmer, Daniel Norris and Matthew Boyd each need to work on to have more success.
“Three different guys,” Dubee said. “Michael emerged real quickly on the scene. Very confident, great demeanor on the mound, plus good stuff.”
Fulmer, who’ll turn 24 in March, received American League Rookie of the Year honors last season. He was 11-7 with a 3.
