DETROIT -- Opening Day has been rained out.
The Detroit Tigers' scheduled game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday afternoon was called off about four hours before the scheduled pitch at 1:10 p.m.
The game will be rescheduled for the same time at Comerica Park on Friday, when weather forecasts appear more promising.
