Seattle — The Tigers scratched right fielder Nick Castellanos 30 minutes before game-time Sunday, but no trade had been made.
The Tigers made the precautionary move after Castellanos complained of abdominal tightness. He is considered day-to-day, the Tigers said.
Harold Castro was moved from second base to right field and Gordon Beckham was inserted into the starting lineup at second.
