Miguel Cabrera had a message.
He spoke it with his bat in the bottom of the seventh inning on Wednesday night, and after a question about the Detroit Tigers’ comeback win, and another about the bullpen, the All-Star first baseman got to what was really on his mind.
And rarely, if ever, has Cabrera spoke his mind in front of television cameras, in the middle of a pack of reporters, the way he did after the Tigers’ latest win. For nearly eight minutes, he spoke freely and at ease, with conviction and some trademark Cabrera charm, too, offering a look into his leadership on the team.
