NEW YORK -- Justin Verlander is still a Tiger.
Ian Kinsler, Justin Upton and Jose Iglesias are still here, too.
When the clock struck 4 p.m. and the MLB trade deadline expired, the Tigers had no last-minute blockbusters up their sleeves.
When all was said and done, the Tigers dealt three players -- outfielder J.D. Martinez, catcher Alex Avila and reliever Justin Wilson -- to two teams -- the Diamondbacks and Cubs -- and received five minor-league infielders in return.
The three traded players were the easiest to deal because they had manageable salaries and no contractual right to block trades.
