Houston — Maybe it wasn’t the offensive breakout the Tigers were hoping for. But as bad as they have been swinging the bats lately, they happily accepted a dash of timely hitting and some well-placed ground balls.
Jose Iglesias and Ian Kinsler triggered a pair of two-run innings — and Iglesias provided two add-on runs by himself — to help the Tigers beat the Houston Astros 6-3 Wednesday and stop a three-game losing streak.
Iglesias, who came in hitting .125 in his last 12 games, doubled to lead off the eighth inning of a 2-2 game.
