Tigers lose slugfest as Anibal Sanchez struggles again

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The offense returned for the Detroit Tigers, in long-ball form to boot, but Anibal Sanchez continued his descent.

And it just might have hit rock bottom.

Sanchez was tattooed for eight hits and three home runs before he was yanked after three innings Tuesday in an 11-9 loss to the Los Angeles Angels before 35,125 at Angel Stadium.

The Tigers, powered by five home runs, battled back to tie the game at 9-9. But Tigers reliever Mark Lowe gave up a walk-off, two-run homer to C.J. Cron in the bottom of the ninth.
