Tigers' Jeimer Candelario has bruised knee after collision with pitcher

SARASOTA, Fla. -- The Detroit Tigers briefly held their breath when bodies starting flying around at home plate in the second inning on Monday.

When the play at the plate was over, Baltimore Orioles pitcher Kevin Gausman was bloodied and dazed on the ground, Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario was hobbling and Jason Krizan had just made a beautiful slide to score a run.
