LAKELAND, Fla. – Detroit Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said that outfielder J.D. Martinez will have stress CT scan performed by Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte, N.C. on Friday.
“That will determine the definitive answer” Ausmus said of how much time Martinez is expected to miss with a foot injury.
The Tigers sought a second opinion of an MRI test result on Martinez’s right foot, which sustained a mid-foot sprain in Saturday’s game against the Marlins. Ausmus declined to reveal the results of the initial tests when he met with reporters on Sunday in Sarasota, Fla.
