DETROIT -- Mikie Mahtook will see most of his playing time in left field after the Detroit Tigers traded Justin Upton on Thursday.
That move will clear the way for JaCoby Jones to see more playing time in center.
Mahtook, Jones and Alex Presley are starting for the Tigers in Game 1 of a day-night doubleheader against the Cleveland Indians on Friday at Comerica Park.
Miguel Cabrera is back in the lineup at designated hitter after missing the last two starts with a lower back issue.
Newly promoted Efren Navarro will start at first base.
