DETROIT -- The baseball season is over in Detroit, but Daniel Norris is front-page news in the Dominican Republic.
The Tigers left-hander, who will start again tonight for the Aguilas Cibaenas, was the subject of a large feature story in the prominent Listin Diario newspaper. He displayed the big spread on his Instagram stories page, although he sheepishly noted that his Spanish was not yet ready for primetime.
As the temperatures dip in Detroit, winter ball is getting started down south.
Norris is one of more than a dozen players from the Tigers organization playing in Arizona, Venezuela, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
