DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers left Comerica Park on Thursday afternoon with consecutive come-back victories over a Central Division rival.
The get-away day victory on Thursday clinched the series and made for a "happy flight," manager Ron Gardenhire said.
"This is our place, and we have done a great job of playing here. Now we've got to take this momentum onto the road."
The Tigers play their next eight games away from Comerica Park, where they are 23-17 this year.
On the road, they're just 10-20.
After a weekend series in Chicago against the White Sox, the Tigers have a quick, two-game interleague stopover in Cincinnati before another meeting with the Cleveland Indians next weekend at Progressive Field.
