BRADENTON, Fla. - J.D. Martinez and Matthew Boyd were the biggest newsmakers for the Detroit Tigers Friday.
Manager Brad Ausmus announced that Martinez will miss three to four weeks with a Lisfranc ligament sprain in his right foot. Boyd, meanwhile, continued to impress with another strong pitching performance as the Tigers beat the Atlanta Braves in walk-off fashion, 3-2, in 10 innings.
