CLEVELAND -- The Detroit Tigers entered the state of Ohio six days ago riding a five-game winning streak after a road sweep of the Chicago White Sox.
Since then, they've lost four games by a combined score of 28-9 to the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians.
The Tigers have run into two hot teams while enduring overlapping slumps by a handful of players in the lineup.
And on Saturday night, those two factors were amplified by the presence of Trevor Bauer, who made Tigers hitters look downright foolish at times with his five-pitch mix that includes a mid-90s fastball and a knuckle curve with a steep break.
