Ben Gamel's ninth-inning RBI single off Francisco Rodriguez scored Kyle Seager to put the Mariners on top for a 2-1 win, taking a series that began with Seattle giving up 19 runs in the opener.
Starters Justin Verlander and Hisashi Iwakuma dueled to no-decisions, both saddled with an unearned run in the sixth, rendering the game to a battle of bullpens.
