CINCINNATI -- Detroit Tigers pitcher Drew VerHagen suffered a broken nose when he was hit in the face by a throw as he rushed to cover first base in the seventh inning on Tuesday night.
VerHagen's nose was reset after he left the game, but he's expected to be placed on the disabled list before the Tigers play the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday afternoon.
