CLEARWATER, Fla. – Daniel Norris knew what was wrong.
He said five days ago in Tampa after his first start of the spring against the Yankees that as soon as he came out of the game – perhaps even out on the mound – that he knew what was wrong mechanically.
And after a couple of bullpen sessions with pitching coach Rich Dubee, the Detroit Tigers left-hander showed he knew how to fix it, too.
Norris was in control from the get-go against the Phillies on this afternoon, attacking the strike zone with ease and efficiently working through three innings.
