Tigers' Daniel Norris bounces back with strong outing in Mud Hens loss

Scores, news, and notes from the Detroit Tigers' farm system on Monday, May 16, 2016.

Daniel Norris struggled early, allowing a pair of runs on a Jesus Montero -- yes, that Jesus Montero -- first inning two-run homer before escaping a jam unscathed in the second. However, Norris rebounded to have one of his better outings of the season, working seven innings with three runs allowed. The Mud Hens offense could not pick up their starter, managing a single run on eight hits and two walks. Wynton Bernard was on base three times and scored Toledo's lone run, and Chad Huffman added three hits and the lone RBI.
