DETROIT -- Few players have collected Gold Gloves like Ivan Rodriguez and Omar Vizquel.
From 1993 to 2001, Rodriguez won American League honors at catcher every year. Vizquel did the same at shortstop without fail, becoming synonymous with defensive excellence at his position.
Ivan Rodriguez's induction is great, but what of other Hall-worthy Tigers?
The catcher was among three selected for Hall of Fame induction but it's up to the Expansion Era Committee to weigh Jack Morris, Alan Trammell and Lou Whitaker.
So when Rodriguez was elected Wednesday to the National Baseball Hall of Fame on his first year on the ballot, it begged the question: Can Omar Vizquel do the same next year when he becomes eligible for the first time?
